This past Saturday evening I was out for drinks at Sashi; great sushi restaurant and lounge in Manhattan Beach. I was in the company of four handsome gentlemen and a close girlfriend (oh hey, SavvyGirl), when the topic of Lunch.com came up. Much to my surprise, all present company (myself included) were members of Lunch, however I stood alone in it so far as that I had yet to write a review. One Kettle Gimlet later, I had been convinced. Below is my first review on Lunch.com. Please be kind, Lunchers ☺
June gloom has finally passed here in LA, I was able to spend the past two weekends basking my skin in the sun, which, had started to resemble the color of my office walls. With a new summer glow, and a jaunt to Vegas just around the corner, there was only one thing on my mind: time to find that perfect “Summer Pink” lip-gloss. Look no further ‘ladies who Lunch’- NARS “Frisky Summer” is just that. It truly is the ideal summer shade. This vibrant gloss, a hybrid of pink and coral, perfectly compliments your sun-kissed skin, without leaving others wondering if you were sipping on Hawaiian Punch at your nieces 3rd birthday party. It also has the perfectly glossy texture with an even sheen, giving your lips a juicy pout. In the Summer months when less is more (clothing, make-up, etc.), “Frisky Summer” is all you need. It looks ahh-mazing when wearing only a little mascara and perhaps some blush. Since the hue is so bright, you don’t need anything on the eyes- leaving the focus to be on your irresistible lips.
“Frisky Summer” can be purchased at any NARS make up counter (finer department stores), or on the NARS website for $24. The price is a little steep, however, the shade is so bold, and the gloss sticks so well, you will only need to reapply every few hours (contingent upon food/drink intake), and one wipe o’ the wand is all you need. Additional ammo: NARS lip-gloss was the winner of “Best of Sephora” products in 2008- no small task.
You truly cannot afford to wait any longer- Frisky Summer days and nights await you!
