The first time that I used this corkscrew I thought it was going to break but so far it has held up well. Since it is made of plastic I was hesitant to apply too much pressure but it is tougher than it looks. I like the Teflon coating on the screw and the fact that it's dishwasher safe. There doesn't seem to be anything that can rush on this corkscrew.
Simply turn the knob and the screw will drive into the cork and the wings will rise, and then apply pressure to the wings and it will remove the cork fairly easily.
Sure there are many corkscrews that are fancier but they will come with a much greater price tag. This corkscrew gets the job done and is priced very well. So far I have no complaints.

The nonstick-coated worm on this corkscrew almost melts into the cork, gliding easily and without force. The wide, comfortable plastic knob turns to drive the wings up, and once they're fully deployed, simply push back down as the cork slides up and out of the bottle neck. It works with any corked bottle--try it for vinegar, olive oil, or aromatherapy oils.--Laurie Notaro
