Pros: Lethal Weapon Brownie; Got Meal for Free Since Service Was So Terrible

Cons: TERRIBLE Service!!! Everything was absolutely ice cold. Server was rude-- Manager had to apologize for everything.

I have been to Atlanta many times, including for the Olympics in 1996. When I go to a major city, I try my best to patronize Planet Hollywood and The Hard Rock Cafe, and buy a pin. I have been to many of these restaurants.

The Planet Hollywood in Atlanta was the worst, by far.

Perhaps it was because of the Olympics and a lot of people were there, or maybe just because the service is usually lousy, I don't know. I went with four other people, and had one of the most miserable dining experiences that I have ever had. I remember it like it was yesterday.

Of course, Planet Hollywood is a huge tourist attraction, so we had to wait about 1/2 an hour. We were finally called and seated in the upper dining room, surrounded by loads of movie paraphernalia. Unfortunately, we had to settle with sitting right near the entrance to the kitchen.

For starters, we ordered the Texas Nachos. All of us were really hungry, and we were expecting a platter of nachos made Texas-style. Boy, were we wrong. You could imagine how disappointed we were when our appetizer was brought out nearly 1/2 an hour later, ice-cold, with only 10 nachos on the plate. They were covered with meat, cheese, jalapenos, and some sort of BBQ sauce, but individually. Talk about disappointing.

I can't remember what anyone else ordered, but I went for the fajitas. Normally, fajitas are served in a pan, still sizzling. Not at Planet Hollywood. Everything is lined up on a plate, and you are given about 4 tortillas. On top of that, this, too, was absolutely ice cold. Everyone in my party, regardless of what they ordered, complained that everything was cold.

Finally, a manager came over and asked how everything was. My Mom, not being the quiet one, told her how awful everything was. The manager covered our entire bill, and insisted that we get dessert.

I ordered the Ebony and Ivory Brownie (now known as the Lethal Weapon Brownie), which has remained my favorite over the years. It was the perfect balance of chocolate and vanilla, with some nuts and caramel. Delicious.

Planet Hollywood is always a great place to go if you enjoy doing the "tourist thing" so you can say you've been there. My pin collection has grown quite a bit, even though I've had to put up with lousy service in a few places. Atlanta's restaurant was the worst. I'm totally not willing to give it another try.

Pros: good service, no wait, great food     Cons: Struggling business, too bright, kind of pricey     I have been to several Planet Hollywood restaurants in the United States. From New York to Nashville, every menu has been the same. My mother was completely against going to Planet Hollywood for lunch while we were in New Orleans, but I begged her. (It's a hobby of mine to collect pins from Planet Hollywood and the Hard Rock Cafe.) We were walking down Decatur …

Pros: Convenient to locate downtown     Cons: Wait line too long     We went to Chicago on a business trip in the summer of 1998. We had heard of Planet Hollywood and wanted to check it out. We were hoping to run into Michael Jordan since he was noted for dining there. We parked in the underground garage which was well-lit and secure. When we got to the restaurant's entrance, we expected the long line waiting before us. We had visited other Planet Hollywood …

Pros: The service     Cons: The price and food quality     Being an actress, I've been to many different Planet Hollywoods. I enjoy looking at all the different paraphenalia from all of those movies, although I've been told that a great deal of it is fake. That really is disappointing. Considering that is the reason people go to Planet Hollywood in the first place and not for the food, it's no wonder that the company has gone bankrupt.   The food …
