Sturdy, Reliable and Attractive-Needs an Attachable Hook for Stringless Tea Bags!

The Primula Double Glass Mug with Tea Bag Buddy makes a marvelous holiday gift--nicely priced and packaged, it is the perfect set-up for a tea-toting friend or office mate.

On first glance and first feel, the mug feels like plastic. However, it is fashioned in a lightweight glass that specifically retains the heat of the brewing tea while keeping gripping fingers from getting burnt on hot glass. In addition it features a rubberized cover that neatly holds the string of a teabag in place for optimal suspension and eventual disposal without the need of a spoon or invading fingers.

My one complaint is that it does nothing to accommodate the use of stringless teabags--of which there are many and for the most part, all that I seem to use when not actually brewing tea with loose leaves. I am wondering if Primula could come up with a rubber cap with an elongated hook on flexible fishing line that can be appropriated in a similar fashion as this current model. Now that would be really functional for this tea-drinking reviewer--and ahe would appreciate at least 10% of each sale for the idea!

Bottom line? The Primula Double Wall Glass Tea Mug with Tea Bag Buddy is a great idea with a reasonable price tag. If it were really perfect, however, it would also include a "hook" attachment that would allow stringless tea bag usage with the same hands free neatness. Recommended as a great gift.

. . . which left me wondering "Why bother"?    I like the double-glass. It keeps the tea hot for longer periods of time while allowing the mug to be handled.    But the "Tea Bag Buddy"? It's trying to solve a non-existent problem, at least for the 99% of us who know how to dispose of a tea bag in a neat fashion! I'll probably keep the mug -- and discard the silly lid.    Nothing special here!
