Who adopted whom, the human or the pup, asks one delightful poem in this sweet collection. And right from the moment the puppy comes home, the chaos begins. Simple rhymes and short lines accompany sweet puppy memories, plus the occasional honest agony… as the foot lands in “what squished like mud.” “It came out of nowhere / Just suddenly there / A wild force of nature / Leaving destruction everywhere,” declares the poem, Tornado, of one four-legged friend. But puppy grows up and all your favorite lap-dog memories are here, with sweet face asking “Are you made at me.” “They cuddle and nip / They bark and they yip,” and they’re puppies, or puppy poems. Short, sweet and neat in a short sweet collection of smiles.

This book was inspired by the two Scottie puppies we welcomed into our home at the end of 2012! They turned our world upside down, but have brought great joy and love with them as well. I hope you enjoy and can relate to our puppy experiences! :)
