Sweet and refreshi

Disclaimer: I get these locally, so am not going to delve into areas like how shipping costs make this expensive. My focus is on the product itself. Compared to the San Pellegrino Aranciata Rossa (Blood Orange) Sparkling Water, which is bitter (in a good way), this one is light and sweet. It's perfect on a hot humid day.

As noted by others this (and the rest of the juice flavored sparkling waters from San Pellegrino) have a high sugar and calorie content. At 140 calories and 32 grams of sugar this is not a drink you want to toss down one after another if you are watching your caloric or sugar intakes. Put another way, a 12 ounce can of Classic Coke contains less calories (90) and sugar (27 grams). I am saying this to show a stark comparison, not to promote Coke (which I do not drink at all.) Just be aware of the nutritional values and then enjoy a can when you want to treat yourself.

What I love is the flavors of Italy in the can. This has the sparkling mineral waters from Northern Italy's Lombardia region and the citrus of Sicily. To my palate it's a perfect combination.

See the photo that I uploaded at the top of this page and you will note the color. It's not artificially orange, but natural as though you used fresh oranges and a juicer to squeeze them. It's the natural look and flavor that keeps me addicted.

See the photo I uploaded at the top of this page for a visual of how the juice color is a natural, pale as though you extracted it from fresh oranges. No artificial orange coloring was used, which is a plus in my opinion.

About this product

If you are looking for an orange soda with that unique European flavor profile, look no further than San Pellegrinos juice-laden sparklers, Aranciata. (Thats orange.) Each serving contains 12 % real fruit. Already popular in Europe, importers expect that thirsty Americans will soon be drinking these delicious new beverages up, too!
