Other reviewers seem to have hit many of the key things that might not be obvious about this storage box: No locking mechanism; hanging folders don't fit. This seems like a good storage mechanism for records that fit the narrow range of important-but-not-vital -- ie, things you wouldn't necessarily need to put in a locking box or store offsite, but that'd you'd rather have after a disaster than not. Family scrapbooks, maybe? So don't make this your first line of defense. But if you have need and/or room for a second or third line, this could fit the bill.
It also, of course, makes a perfectly decent if slightly overengineered day-to-day storage box for regular files too.
