Ancient formula, unusual scent

Whether you like these wipes or not will depend to a great extent on what you think of the scent. It is not particularly strong but it is distinctive, and it lingers.

The active ingredient is thymol, a naturally occurring compound that has been used (as a constituent of various plant oils) for thousands of years for its antiseptic properties. Today you will find it in many mouthwash and toothpaste formulations. That may give you a clue as to the sort of scent it has.

The tissues are well-sodden and so an application goes a long way. They seem to be as effective as other wipes. They are worth a try.

I cant' say enough good things about this product, it's a bit more eco friendly than most regular wipes that people use, my mom who has skin allergies had to stop using her Clorox wipes because they made her break out in hives, but not with this baby. I keep one canister in the kitchen by the sink and at the end of my night of dishes, cooking and more dishes; I wipe everything down with this, the counters, the stove, the sink, etc. It's even great to use in the bathroom on toilet seats and surfaces …

After using these wipes, my initial thoughts are they do a decent job. They are pretty wet right out of the container, and a bit sudsy, and allow you to clean a rather large surface area. It is good that they are wet, because the packaging says to disinfect you should leave visibly wet for 10 minutes and allow to air dry. Honestly, after wiping something down, I don't watch it and time it to see if it is visibly wet for 10 minutes. I guess I just hope it stays wet for a long enough period to kill …
