Basically you go around solving various supernatural detective cases while trying to protect the 'Capital' (Tokyo) in the early 20th century Japan. You capture 'demons' and raise their levels to help you on your quest. The Over-reaching Story Arc is saving the Capitol from this 'King Abaddon' character and fixing the very miserable luck everyone seems to be having.
