Bought these shoes after a pair of New Balance damaged my feet. I've loved the NB brand and have bought it for years, but the last pair gave me such a wretched case of plantar fasciitis that I could barely walk, much less work out seriously.
I mention this little episode because plantar fasciitis isn't all that rare, and I tried on Skechers more expensive line of 'shape up' shoes only to find that my feet immediately sent me feedback that my feet hadn't recovered enough to wear this different shape.
These lower priced shoes didn't do that. Instead they were comfortable and I've remained pain free.
THE SKINNY::: Look okay. I'm not much for 'sparkly' but the black and grey with fusia highlights was all the store had available.
There is NOT a great deal of arch support so if you need that you might want to consider an insert. The 'feel' is cushy though, and at this price serious walkers can just toss them after 6 months when the 'cush' is gone.
No support for pronation that I could discern.
No point in buying at the store. There is no sales staff, just people who ring things up. Sizes seemed to run a half size small. No wide sizes available.
Pros: Simple, great for casual wear, durable, comfortable, true to size Cons: A bit heavy, not for extreme sports or vigorous exercise The Bottom Line: These aren't flashy or trendy but they are classic athletic shoes that look good and feel great.
