These two figures are based on the Star Wars novel Shadow Hunter, one of my favorites in the EU. Both are great additions to your collection. The Maul in this set is a shirtless version of a younger Mual in training. Hasbro did an excellent job painting Maul's body with tattoos and even camouflaged the joints. I'm very impressed. I-5YQ is a cool character and a fun character. He's a protocol droid, like C-3P0, but has a compartment in his chest with a hidden holocron. Again, Hasbro did a beautiful paint job. My only complaint is that his hip joints don't allow him to fully sit down. Overall, definitely recommended for Maul fans.

Drawn from the Darth Maul ? Shadow Hunter, this may be a first as a 2-pack drawn from a novel. I-5YQ was a protocol droid that was owned by Correllian information merchant Lorn Pavan. Pavan had equipped I-Five with some ?special modifications? including lasers in the droid's index fingers, and regarded the droid more as a partner than as property. Darth Maul killed Pavan when the Corellian tried to sell Trade Federation plans for the invasion of Naboo. I-Five continued on and reappeared later in the expanded universe, from the Clone Wars and into the Dark Times.
