A better Starbucks coffee

I've never been a big Starbucks coffee fan, for I always felt that it was much too strong, at least for my tastes. No matter how I would try to brew it at home, it just didn't taste good to me. Even in Starbucks locations I found the coffee too strong, so I was a little hesitant about testing out this new vanilla flavored coffee. I am pleased to report, however, that I am happy that I did.

This new edition of Starbucks coffee has a very subtle flavoring of vanilla, not enough to overpower the taste of the coffee, unlike the jarring tastes in other companies' flavored coffees. It's light and goes well on the palate, and the best part is that it is not strong as the other products from Starbucks. That alone rates a 5 star award from me!

First off, a funny thing, when I was making the first pot of coffee, my husband thought maybe it had gone bad and had worms in it or something. There are white slivers/specks in the coffee grounds, which I assumed were something from vanilla beans. I hope it was, otherwise I may have made worm larva coffee! So, onto my review!    I enjoyed this coffee much more than the Melitta Cafe Collection Parisian Vanilla Ground Coffee I recently tried. Personally, I am a gold card carrying …

I am bit of a coffee fanatic, so I am always looking for new and exotic types of brew to indulge in. This coffee by Starbucks is a vanilla flavored concoction. Flavor coffees, I have found, are usually hit or miss, in my experience more miss. However, in the case of this coffee I found the vanilla flavor to be rather subtle.    This coffee is not a dark and/or strong blend; it is rather mild so the discreet hints of vanilla give this beverage a smooth taste. I used flavored creamer …

I drink Starbucks regularly and wondered if I would like their newest flavored varieties. I was pleasantly surprised. The base coffee is still good and the vanilla is not overwhelming. It doesn't taste artificial and is fairly subtle. I like that it's got the extra flavor, without being sweet (as in adding shots of syrup). I would drink this often.

About this product

Vanilla has a subtle flavor and an indulgent aroma that's simply made for coffee. To allow the vanilla to come through, we specially blended and lightly roasted Latin American beans. A combination of coffee artistry and culinary insight, this aromatic coffee has an understated vanilla highlight. You're in for a rare treat and an entirely new experience - a fusion of premium coffee with natural ingredients ground right in.
