This is a very well written and scary book. It begins in a large pharmaceutical company where a section head gives an unfavorable job review to a person in her department. This person doesn't take kindly to the report, and vows to "get back" at his supervisor. The rest of the book shows how he goes about accomplishing that task.
At first the company and its protective people help the supervisor, but the underling has arranged things so carefully that soon it appears that the supervisor is, at the very least, paranoid, or at the most, someone who gives away corporate secrets. The protection is withdrawn, and the supervisor is left on her own to attempt to protect herself and her family.
The "villain" is painted in purely evil terms; a person with absolutely no remorse for the havoc he is creating. The plot moves along at a goodly pace, and the ending is so intense that you can't stop reading until the book finishes.
I don't work for a corporation, and after reading this book I am very happy for that!
