The worst written book I've ever read

  • Jun 2, 2012
Rating:
-5
I tend to be a hard reviewer, but in respect to the difficulty of good writing I seldom give the lowest possible ranking of a book I read, but this waste of paper has earned it.

Ludicrously too bad to be good, it is riddled with poor grammar, misspellings, anachronistic usage of italics, forced and awkward use of bad language, stilted and possibly consciously bad dialogue, factual errors (two oddly obvious and readily verifiable time zone errors:  LA is not in Mountain time zone, and Central time zone is not three hours different from Eastern), and to cap it off, a "bonus CD" with a song "inspired by the novel" in the worst 80's hair-band power-ballad style,  OK, that is almost bad enough to be good right there, if you don't actually listen to it.

Oh, and did I mention that somewhere in here there purports to be a thriller, and that it is inexplicably set in 2015?  There I did.  Sorry I brought it up.  Forget that you ever heard of this dog.   I have.
