I really enjoy the Mitch Rapp series of books. They are entertaining and keep the reader going to find out what is going to happen . Of course, it's a given that Rapp will survive all of the actions and the plots to terminate him. In addition, those among his own countrymen who detest the CIA and all that it stands for get their just "reward" at the end of the book.
The plot concerns a missing CIA agent in Afghanistan whose mind is filled with secrets about spies and operations, the revelation of which will cause great damage to the CIA's worldwide operations. Rapp is sent in to find the man, and becomes the target for assassination by an old enemy. There are twists and turns galore in the book, and the pages keep flying by as the reader anxiously awaits the next conundrum facing Rapp and his men, and also the CIA director.
It all turns out well in the end, as expected, but it's a thrilling ride along the way!

“The Last Manis arguably Flynn's best work yet. Tight, right and dynamite.” (Minneapolis Star Tribune)
"Certainly,The Last Manis one of Flynn’s most complex installments in the Rapp canon to date. And Flynn, master storyteller that he is, skillfully navigates the reader through the twists and turns of the tale to a conclusion that puts the main plot elements to rest while setting up the next intriguing volume."
