I have to say that I wasn’t too impressed with Wrestlemania 28, and I did not expect much. The one match that really saved it for me was the “End of an Era” match between Undertaker and Triple H with HBK as the guest referee. That match stole the show; it was exciting, dramatic and intense. I mean it was a “Hell in a Cell” match so it met my expectations. The question now is, where does the Taker go from here?
The main event “Once in a Lifetime” between The Rock and John Cena was good, but its impact was surely lessened since the “End of an Era” match just stole the show. The Rock never lost a step and looked to be in the best shape of his life. Performances by Flo Rida and Machine Gun Kelly helped give the show a more majestic feel.
The other main matches were alright. Sheamus taking the belt from the annoying Daniel Bryan (whoa AJ is hot) and the Big Show made a good showing against Cody Rhodes. The rest of the show were sub-par and did not feel like it was wrestle mania.
Good show but should’ve been better. Taker and Triple H should have been made the main event.
The bluray has a mountain of features including what led up to the matches.
