Not your mother's cloth diapers

bumGenius one size cloth diapers were the first diapers that I began using with my son. When I first started using them I was in love. They are just as easy as disposables but much more eco-friendly. I still love them, but now that I have experienced all different types of diapers I have my preferences.

- As easy to use as disposables. Just stuff the inserts in and put on baby. To wash you just have to take the insert out and throw in the machine!
- One size diapers mean they will fit your baby from 8 to 35lbs. These were a bit large on my son at first, but after he reached 10 pounds they were a good fit.
- Leak less than disposables.
- Velcro tabs make this diaper super adjustable.
- Super cute! In the summer I love having my son in just a cloth diaper and a t-shirt!
- Dry faster than aoi (all in one) diapers because the inserts are not sewn in.

- Made out of synthetic fibers. These diapers eventually hold a stink and you have to do a stripping process to get it out. A bit more work than natural fibered cloth diapers.
- Velcro tabs wear out faster than snaps.
- Might be bulky on skinnier babies.

All in all these are a great diaper. They do the job, look cute, and you can re-use them instead of throw them away! I use these diapers mostly for overnights and when we are going out and I need an easy on and easy off diaper.

Thanks for the review Jess! I've never tried these but have read a lot about them. The synthetic fibers are a bummer (though I love that they keep her bum dry), I need to strip our Thirsties and FuzziBunz sometime, they're starting to stink. Now that you make and sell your own I think those brands have some serious competition! :P

I agree that I love the stay dry aspect of the synthetics. I am working on finding a solution for that in natural fibers! So far I am experimenting with a lot of different natural fabrics. I will let you know how that Sensi-Clean works on stripping after I try it. I'll write a review!

Shortly after I switched to cloth diapers with my daughter, I wanted to try out a few different brands. I found the Bumgenius 3.0s and was thrilled because I loved the idea of an All-in-one diaper, and they came in very fun colors.      We really lucked out and purchased 4 diapers on a clearance sale. They worked AMAZING. I LOVED them. They were very easy to use; fit my daughter well (she's very petite and it's hard to find items that are trim enough for her), simple …

If I had written this review when I first started cloth diapering my son when he was a newborn I would have raved about how much I loved them. I did love them. Now I don't.      There are some positives and negatives to these diapers.      Pros      - Trim fit, not bulky under clothing   - Absorbent. I hardly ever have leaks, if I do it's overnight and my son was wearing the diaper too long.   …
