Some Hits, Some Misses

When I think of Zac Posen, I instantly think of Rachel Bilson posing in a chic, fashion-forward frock. While some of these pieces for the Target collection have fulfilled that vision, some have definitely fell short.

I already know I'll see many Fashionistas gracing the sidewalks in the hot pink tiger striped dress. That dress I could definitely see in my wardrobe, and it's -- as usual with designer for Target lines -- reasonably priced at $39.99.

The red prom-esque dress brings Little J to mind; perhaps she'll wear it to a prom episode of Gossip Girl? As much as I hate Jenny's style (horrible extensions, too dark of make-up everywhere, I won't get carried away), I really like this dress. I could see it being worn to a formal for a fraternity or RSO event at the University of Illinois.

Lastly, I also am digging the red one piece. I like the deep v-neck, and this suit is actually making me consider two things I rarely do: the color red, and a one-piece bathing suit. Nicely done, Zac Posen.

However, the other separates I am not crazy over. Do I hate them? No. I just don't think I feel some need to have them in my closet. Even the bright, floral, breezy blouse didn't catch my eye, and that is something that normally would make me snatch it off the hanger in a millisecond.

My only actual gripe is the dim, gold, metallic pieces. It just doesn't seem very spring to have such subdued metallics. Warm weather, in my mind, would include a bright, shimmery gold metallic as opposed to its dirtier version.

My only ultimate recommendation from this line would be the pink tiger-print dress. It's a versatile piece with a lot of originality in terms of print and fit.

love the collection- completely agree about the dim metallics not fitting in though. there's nothing I hate more then wearing lame, metallic fabric in summer, it just doesn't work. summer its all about free flowing dresses :)

i can't say enough good things about Target. Their brilliant marketing campaign consists of high end designers creating a collection for the masses. Sure the fabrics aren't as luxurious as those being worn down the runway, but who cares? Millions of girls would kill just to have a tag hanging in their closet that says Zac Posen.....I mean at least I know I would.       The highly anticipated Zac Posen line is merely days away (April 26th), and I have picked out the pieces …

Now, I love fashion; one might even say I'm obsessed.       I also love Target, and I know for a fact that I deifnitely am obsessed.      So, the collaborations between Target and well-known fashion designers has been pure heaven for me.  I enjoy every collection that graces Target with its presence; much of my wardrobe consists of these Target goodies.      However, while the fashion world is buzzing with excitement over Zac Posen's …

I have been looking forward to the Zac Posen designer collaboration for a LONG TIME.  A very long time.  I even drove over to my local Target an entire day before it was due out because the employees told me that they would be beginning their floorset and would probably have some stuff out (they didn't).  A few hours ago I finally made it to Target and witnessed with my own eyes what I have been waiting on baited breath for for so long.  Now, I'm not sure what to think.  I …

Black pants? Floral dress? Graphic Tee?. I really liked the red cocktail dress, but did it scream Zac Posen to me? No. What it DID scream was, " When will these Target collaborations end?" In my opinion, this trend is overdone. Luster gone. EVERYBODY is collaborating with EVERYBODY. I think its time for designers to stick to designer instead of trying to penetrate the mass market.       While the collection had some nice pieces, it isn't anything to write home about. …
