I'll break my diet for Bronx Pizza

Seriously, why aren't you driving to Bronx Pizza right now instead of reading a review on it?

Since it's Friday I had to forgo pepperoni and got the pesto slice and the spinach & ricotta slice. Added a drink all for $6 bucks!

I did feel like it was a bit "soup nazi-ish", like if I made a mistake they would say "NO PIZZA FOR YOU!!!" and snatch it from out of my hands. So I behaved myself and followed all the rules like don't be on your cell phone while waiting in line. Or don't dare ask for ranch, jalapeno peppers or even a salad.

The pizza is thin crust and crunchy. I think I'm going back tomorrow.

When in NY, the New York pizza is great. Similarly, in Chicago, their deep dish pizza is great. But NY pizza or Chicago pizza anywhere else isn't as good. So any big town has its best pizza-ask the locals. And avoid the chains. We have excellent pizza in Cleveland but in New York or Chi-town, I'll love the local stuff. And don't argue with New Yorkers about pizza or anything.

This brings up an interesting topic for me. My feeling is that you can make good NY pizza anywhere, but so many New Yorkers will argue until blue in the face that it's never as good as it is there. What makes this pizza great? Would love to hear a few more details in this review.

I discovered New York pizza during a family vacation to "The Big Apple" more than ten years ago.  It was even better than I expected.  Having worked at a Pizza Hut as a teen, I loved the greasy fried texture of pan pizza.  I still really like it, but I've definitely been stricken by the thin crust goodness that started back east.  New York pizza is a true work of art, as well as an offspring of culinary science.  Light on ingredients, the dough must be handled …
