This place has been hyped up for a while by a couple of my friends. We didn't go for a while because of my pescatarianism. After culinary school, I pretty much eat anything. I like chicken, but I realized after last night, I still don't like it in big portions.
The chicken was not as good as Costco's rotisserie chicken, and the mashed potatoes were pretty bland and dry. They serve their meal with dry pita bread. Are they trying to be Zankou? If so, they should really add hummus to their menu. I think my favorite thing was the broccoli pasta salad.
My friend got the chicken pasta salad and the fried potatoes. I suggest you go that route. They were better than my sides.
This particular one in Encino feels like I'm eating in a cafeteria. All the tables are about 3 inches apart... but I guess it doesn't matter because it's so loud, nobody can hear your conversation anyway.
I might be willing to try a different location, but I'm in no hurry.
