I love their low carb burger. I like it being wrapped in lettuce opposed to a (horrible for you) white bread bun. The lettuce crunch actually makes the meal more satisfying. It is a little messier though, which makes its fun to eat like ribs or gyros. Only drawback: it's expensive.

A different menu from Hardee's, it's sister company but it tastes the same. The Breakfast Burger is great and so is the Big Carl.

Can I get a 'Bacon Swiss' with no bacon, please?

First off, I try to avoid Carl's Jr whenever I can because numerous reports and sources have revealed that Carl's Jr gives money to ultra-conservative, right-wing causes, like the Yes on 8 campaign in California. But then again, almost every large corporation has its list of bad deeds, so it's nearly impossible to find one that deserves every penny you hand 'em. Carl's Jr. is a chain of fast-food burger restaurants in the United States, primarily concentrated in the American West. Combined with its sister chain Hardee's, Carl's Jr. is the nation's fourth largest burger chain, following McDonald's, Burger King, and Wendy's. The company is currently in the process of expanding into Canada, Mexico, and China.

Carl's Jr. was founded in 1941 Carl N Karcher in Anaheim, CA as a stand-alone restaurant called Carl's Drive-In Barbecue. In 1956, Karcher opened two miniature versions of his restaurant in Anaheim and nearby Brea. Today, Carl's Jr. and Hardee's are found in all regions of the United States except New England, New Jersey, and the District of Columbia. By 2008, the Anaheim-based company hopes to operate over 4,000 restaurants.
