Housed in a building styled to match late 19th century Parisian architecture, Les Chefs de France is far from your typical theme park restaurant.
Its roots go back to 1982 when the restaurant was started by a trio of legendary French Chefs: Paul Bocuse, Roger Vergé, and Gaston Lenôtre (who passed away in January of 2009). This may have been one of the first examples of celebrity chefs combining their talents to own a restaurant.
The result of the collaboration is a highly rated restaurant that features traditional French regional cuisine with menu items influenced by the owners.
Since the restaurant is located in the France Pavilion within Epcot’s World Showcase, the wait staff is French, dressed in the black pants and vests with white aprons. This adds to the ambiance and the dining experience.
The inside of the restaurant carries on the late 1800's architecture that is seen on the outside of the building. The high ceilings make the space feel very airy even though there are a lot of tables in a relatively small space for this 240 seat restaurant.
