Tuesday Tequila University nights at Ortega 120 is full of good fun, great friends and of course, delicious food and tasty tequila! Ortega hosts a variety of specialty events, including Tequila University! For just $20 bucks, you're treated out on the beautiful patio to yummy apps (guacamole, taquitas, tacos & more), answers to everything you’ve ever wondered about tequila from an expert, a flight of the days tequila (Herradora on my night) and an assortment of tequila drink concoctions!

Not into Tequila tasting? Well, any night at Ortega is a good one, here’s what else I love:
Tequila: With 120 Tequilas on the shelf, there’s something for everyone! Forget the icky Jose Cuervo and lime shots from back in the day, Ortega knows Tequila and will give you a completely new appreciation for it.
Margaritas: You’ve NEVER tasted a margarita better than these bartenders can whip em’ up. Deliciously made with fresh ingredients, they lack the bitter sweet & sour mix that you’ll find at el cheapo restaurants and instead taste like fresh squeezed juice & tequila. 30 bucks for a pitcher of the tastiest stuff! (nearly empty margarita pitcher above is proof of its perfection)!
Food: Forget the greasy “Mexican” food at all the other places around town, Ortega offers a huge assortment of fresh, unique, wonderfully presented dishes that will please even the pickiest of palates. I leave this place feeling awesome, which is quite the contrary from the sick tummy aches resulting from other local mexican joints. My boyfriend doesn't typically like mexican food, but he loves Ortega!
Happy Hour: Where else can you find perfect $2 tacos, $5 margaritas and such a fun atmosphere?
Churros: Try out these bite size nuggets of goodness after every meal. The cinnamon sugar covered treasures come with a side of irresistible chocolate dipping sauce and icecream!
Atmosphere: The authentic Mexican furniture gives the place a great vibe and the covered outdoor patio is total relaxation. Have them open up the Patio roof for a refreshing evening breeze :)
The Owner: Demi is a doll and makes you feel at home in her restaurant, which means a whole lot considering the lack of customer service around this town.

There are few restaurants that I’ll return to in the Southbay for a variety of reasons, but I’m always looking forward to a night at Ortega !
