Assembly line dish construction never tasted so good and is fun to watch at the same time!

Tender greens is a cool little spot in the downtown Culver City area. I live right down the way from this place and I find myself coming back here time and time again.

Their menu is really simple. You've got 3 protein options 1) Flat Iron steak 2) Seared Tuna 3) Grilled chicken. All of the protein options are really tasty and depending on your tastes it's hard to go wrong with any of them. From there you've got several different simple salad combinations that you can add to your protein. Each plate comes with their non-buttered Yukon gold mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes are amazing and a must have.

If you're not into the full plate, they can turn any of the proteins in a sandwich on Cibatta bread. I tend to bounce between the two but have found myself favoring the protein/simple salad combo just because you get mashed potatoes with them.

They've got tasty soups and a few beers on tap. Nothing to get too excited about but they are good.

The seating is mostly outdoor which is nice in the summertime where you can eat and people watch while enjoying a nice meal. This place is always packed but because of their efficiency with the assembly line, I find that I'm never waiting too long. Even while you're waiting, the time seems to fly by as you watch the folks behind the counter work away at getting your dish together.

The food is very reasonably priced at around $10 a pop and because they don't really have any unhealthy options, you're pretty much guaranteed a healthy meal. That is why I love this place. I find that given enough options, I always choose the worst one and by coming here I don't have to worry about that because everything is so tasty.

Anyways, don't take my word for it. If you're even in the area, I recommend this place as a quick stop for a hearty healthy meal. Let me know what you think if you get a chance to try it.

Their set up and menu styling reminds me of Chipotle. Tender Green sounds amazing and I wish that had one in NorCal. You had me at Yukon Gold mashed potatoes!
