We've always combined 2 of our passions - baseball and music - by listening to tunes while catching a game on TV. Now a group of musiciansfrom REM, Minus 5 and Miracle 3 (The Baseball Project) have made an album that's all original baseball songs. Catchy, jangle pop songs about Ted Williams, Curt Flood, Jackie Robinson and many more former and current players. The album reminds us of some of Ween's work, with strong music chalked full of humor and gratitude.

Sounds interesting! I have been collecting music for more than 40 years and it is stunning how few songs have been written about baseball. I think my personal favorite just might be Frank Sinatra's "There Used To Be A Ballpark" from an album called ""Ol' Blue Eyes Is Back". Also, Rhino has a CD called "Baseball's Greatest Hits" which features tunes primarily recorded in the 1940's and 50's.  Like you I am a huge baseball fan.
