When I was a little kid, I thought Alvin and the Chipmunks was mildly amusing at best. Now as an adult, I cringe like mad whenever I hear their irritating voices and uninspired covers of popular songs. Strangely enough, I peeve off a lot of people around Christmastime whenever I tell them I hate that "iconic" Alvin and the Chipmunks Christmas song whenever it's played on the radio.

Though as bad as the 80's incarnations of these singing rodents are, the recent 3D incarnations make me cry tears of blood because of how abysmal they are.

another show that has the same effect on me now are the scooby doo episodes...I liked them a lot as a child, but once I became a teen...ugh! (wonder what I was on as a kid when I liked it)

I wouldn't want to watch this now, because I remember several times I didn't care for it as a kid. I still haven't seen the movies and I don't plan on it.

I haven't seen the 3D movies either, but I did see the trailers, which were enought to make me livid. Hell, I think one of those celluloid abominations made a reference to Taxi Driver, and the thought of a cinematic materpiece being referenced in such a shit film is about as loathsome as Batman being loosely referenced in Elfen Lied in its "symbolism." Just curious, what do you think of that Alvin and the Chipmunks Christmas song?

A Quick Tip by BaronSamedi3

Alvin and the Chipmunks was a ubiquitous show in my childhood years - more there than memorable. I tolerated it, but if there was something else on, my favored option was almost always the other thing. The adventures of Alvin, Simon, and Theodore just didn't excite me very much, and I wasn't overly fond of their pop music remakes.
