Brutal, Gritty, action-packed and filled with attitude. I need to do a full review on this one. I love martial arts and I love anime....the story is a bit predictable but somehow I tolerated it.
13-year-old Baki is a fighter with one mission: to be the best of the best. He is disgusted by his father, who he thinks is weak, and so he trains to be the best fighter alive, though he is among the youngest people training in competitive martial arts. The specific brand of combat that Baki competes in is a no-holds-barred style of ruthless force in which participants are frequently disabled for life or even killed. Is it a bad idea for such a young boy to devote himself to such a violent sport, or will his determination from such a young age give him the edge he needs to be a champion? He'll go up against every type of foe, from monsters to ninjas, but he remains keenly aware that every fight could be his last.
Baki Hanma is an exceptionally strong young man. He spends every waking moment training and fighting so that he may someday surpass the fighting abilities of the strongest being on Earth--his father Yujiro, a cruel man who lives only to fight and hurt people. On his path to becoming the strongest, Baki fights and trains with masters of various fighting styles, always looking for new ways to increase his own strength and fighting technique.
