A Quick Tip by RabidChihuahua

First of all, before I bash Dragonball Z, I did keep in mind that when I watched the few episodes I did see, I wasn't expecting this to be a "high class" anime.

With that said, I didn't find DBZ amusing or exciting, give or take a few ridiculous scenes.  This is NOT an anime for people who don't like having their patience tried, since this anime is rife with overlong fighting scenes and redundant pervert comedy.  I recommend this anime only for easy to please people.

Finally, it's worth noting that I'm one of the extremely rare anime fans that never saw DBZ during my youth or teenage years.

I can see that. This is why I am enjoying the new "KAI" re-issues. The editing made the series much tighter and more exciting.

Okay. I probably won't see the KAI series since the whole Dragonball thing just doesn't appeal to me.

Even condensed I can't imagine DBZ being that much better with its copy and paste story and plot along with bland characters and cookie cutter villains. It begins fun at first, but this shit becomes incredibly dull eventually.

Yeah, even with KAI, I'm dead certain I'd get bored and annoyed with the whole thing.

Dragon Ball Z is no doubt one of those series that is one season way too long. But I will not hide the fact that I was hooked to it for awhile, mainly because of the colorful villains and very simple, easy to follow plots. The biggest problem is just how long the battles drag. For some though, that's actually a good thing.

I'm a morbid cynic who thinks very, very differently from most other people. Chances are, if the majority says X is the greatest in its category, I'll disagree with that notion, because I tend … more
