Another episode in a great series

At the time I watched this video, it had been nearly eight years since I had seen an episode of the "Gunsmoke" series. It remains the longest-running non-animated series with continuous characters and in every episode you can see why. The strong but understated background music and the deep respect and affection that each of the characters has for each other combine to make a story that you care about.
In this one, a man sneaks into Kitty's room and beats her in an attempted rape. Although he is wounded, Festus shoots and kills the attacker, the son of Judge Strom. The judge and his remaining sons arrive in Dodge and try to accuse Kitty and Festus of conspiring to deceive and kill his son. When Matt forces the Strom group out of town, Matt is shot in the leg and they kidnap Kitty and Festus and subject them to a farcical trial. Doc is also kidnapped in order to treat Festus for wounds suffered in the abduction.
The best line of the episode and one that sums of the series is spoken by Doc when he is defending Kitty and Festus, "If you hang these two Matt Dillon will hunt you to the ends of the Earth. He will never stop until he finds you and kills you." Of course, in the end Matt rescues them and it closes with Doc being irascible and Festus being obnoxious, all with a smile on their face.
