Best Criminal Drama on Television

Don't even argue with me on this one.  SVU is the pinnacle of criminal dramas.

On one side, you have the detectives that solve the case.  The show usually opens up with a normal scene.. then boom! Dead Body!!!  Since it's SVU, we know that it's a sexual offense, probably related to a child, or something just insanely crazy (like when Ludacris was on).

It takes about 30 minutes for the detectives to find out who did it.  They're THAT good.  No joke.  Then the criminal prosecutors step in.  Because of this show, I think every city attorney is a smoking hot girl... that's insanely smart.

The prosecutors do their thing and then we get the jury findings.  It can only end in Guilty or Not Guilty, but in most cases, it's a feel good drama.  They almost always catch the bad guy.

So what are my favorite days?  When there's an all-day marathon of SVU on USA.  I just sit back and watch them do their thing.  Then again and again every single hour.

I'm hooked on L&W Criminal Intent myself. Its just such a shame that D'Onofrio seems to be falling apart the last couple of years.

I couldn't agree with you more...when my boyfriend comes home from work, he looks at the TV, asks what 's on and then, promptly says- let me guess...Law and Order: SVU!

i love this tv show. the charaters aren't just making the movie some of them make it seem there living it everyday. the story lines are sometimes different but never something that couldn't really happen.

Hmm... let's see.    I'm a 20-something living in Los Angeles, CA. I was born and raised here, with the exception of a 3 year stint in the Philippines. This "long" vacation helped … more
