What fan of Jane Austen has not imagined him or herself getting lost in an Austen Novel?

2008 ITV Global Entertainment

Starring:
Jemima Rooper
Alex Kingston
Elliot Cowan
Hugh Bonneville
Gemma Arterton
Lindsay Duncan

Plot summary:

A thoroughly modern British girl finds a portal - through her bathroom - into one of the world's most famous love story - Pride and Prejudice. She swaps places with lead heroine of the story, Elizabeth Bennet, and struggles to not screw up one of the world's greatest literary romances.

I have to say I enjoyed this twist on Austen. It is a quirky and delightful take on a literary masterpiece. A suspension of belief is required - don't question it - just go with the bubbly story line and it will be worth your time.

My only complaint is the series neglects any character development of Elizabeth Bennet in modern day London. Then again, this is cotton candy cinema. Just enjoy at the time..no questions!

This movie is definitely worth queuing in Net Flicks.

Amanda Price is a modern girl living in Hammersmith, England, who absolutely loves Pride and Prejudice. …
