In case anyone is interested, Bethesda has launched a new Elder Scrolls website and trailer. The melodies from Morrowind and Oblivion are quite nice, I love Jeremy Soule.
The trailer has me all pumped up. Choir version of the Morrowind theme? Yes please. Graphics look pretty good too, and together with the announcement that it will use the enemy leveling system from Fallout 3 (which is acceptable enough for me), I can say that my excitement for the series has been restored. I haven't been craving a new Elder Scrolls this much since, well, since the day before playing Oblivion.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (pronounced ['skaɪrɪm],sky-rim) is a role-playing video game being developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. It is the fifth installment in The Elder Scrolls action role-playing video game series, following The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. It is scheduled to be released on November 11, 2011 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
Skyrim is set two hundred years after the events of Oblivion, in the land of Skyrim. The province has erupted into civil war after the assassination of its king. Concurrently, the god Alduin, who takes the form of a massive dragon, has arisen to destroy the world. The player character is the last living Dovahkiin (Dragonborn), and must fend off Alduin and save Skyrim from destruction.
