Welcome To The Jungle

Sex, drugs, and rock n' roll baby!!!

The wizards of mayhem at Take Two have done it again with another home run of a game in the Grand Theft Auto series with their latest smash hit GTA: San Andreas!!

Combining everything they had learned from their previous 2 games, the ante has been truly upped in the latest incarnation. Taking binary data to the thresholds of what is possible, the developers have created a world which is the biggest yet in the GTA universe and as you play this game you wonder when it will ever end. They could have slapped nearly any price on this gem and it would be money well spent, as there simply is no way possible that you will not enjoy San Andreas if you liked GTAIII and Vice City.

Set in the 1990s in an Los Angeles type gang environment, San Andreas puts you in the role of C.J. who is a gang member back from jail who immediately gets caught in the world of the the underground the moment he returns home.

I am not going to say anything more about the story behind this game because I don't want to spoil the fun.

If you like adult games and/or are a fan of GTA in general, the question isn't IF you should pick up this game, rather the question is why are you still reading this review and not PLAYING San Andreas?!?!??!

FOR MATURE AUDIENCES ONLY, NOT FOR KIDS

***** HIGHEST POSSIBLE RECOMMENDATION

I won't repeat what other have said: Yes, the game is great; However, the requirements of the system are HIGH if you want to enjoy the game the way its meant to be played. I played and saw some pedestrians with missing limbs and heads until I toned down the settings of the game. Before playing the game at full speed, go to VIDEO settings and test the game until you are satisfied with the performance.    I hope this helps some of the gamers out there.

About this video game

Wiki

It may not be a splashy leap forward, but Rockstar Games'Grand Theft Auto: San Andreasin its own deep, dark way does just as much to move and revolutionize video games as its two predecessors,Grand Theft Auto IIIandGrand Theft Auto: Vice City. As in previous installments, here you play as a thug with problems you must steal and shoot your way out of, but the problems this time are disconcertingly more realistic. You play as Carl Johnson, known on the street as CJ, a likeable criminal type who has just returned to his hometown, Los Santos (a fictionalized Los Angeles), to find that his mother has been murdered and that the police have framed him for another murder. Reunions with his friends and a troubled relationship with his brother set off a sprawling, complex plot line, taking place at first in the immediate Los Santos area but eventually spilling into San Fierro (based on San Francisco) and Las Venturas (Las Vegas).

CJ You play as Carl Johnson, known on the street as CJ.
This is an honest effort to create an engaging story about sympathetic characters caught up in a brutal environment that is on par with a movie or novel.
Gaming Gangsters

Where Vice City took its cues, with tongue firmly in cheek, from the 1980s television series Miami Vice, San Andreas is a sincere homage to early 1990s innercity gangster films like Menace 2 Society and Boyz ‘N the Hood. This is an honest effort to create an engaging story about sympathetic characters caught up in a brutal ...
