Left 4 Dead is a really fun FPS. I mean what could really be better than shooting hordes of the undead? Its great to play with friends on Xbox live either through the campaign or on multiplayer. The only knock I have on it is I wish the story mode was more complete. They have a movie type theme to the game, and with that I feel they could have had a couple more cut scenes and movies while keeping the multiplayer interactive. The replay value of this game is extremely high though as the excellent AI system makes every level different each time you play it. Therefore, you can play one level 7 times in a row and still get a new experience each time. I would recommend this game to anyone looking to play a fun addictive FPS. The game doesn't take itself too seriously with fun banter between the characters at times and even when you die knowing you can be saved later by your teammates helps you enjoy the experience. Another great thing about this game is the teamwork needed. In this game staying together is vital to your survival. It is impossible to go off on your own and make it to the end a level. This makes for great gaming but also tons of frustration if you happen to be playing with someone who is intent on acting on their own or is constantly in need of saving. Friendly fire is also a huge part of this game since it cannot be turned off. It requires you to be accurate and conscious of your surroundings.

While many people state that it is lacking in storyline, this is an understatement. As a matter of fact, it has no storyline. The start of the game has an fmv intro, this is the only piece of dialogue shared by the characters in the entire game. The only backstory is obtained by reading the guide, which suggests that your team, which consists of extremely opposing personalities, just happen to be immune and end up together. Despite everyone these guys knew and loved died two weeks ago, these guys …

Pros: Grat Gameplay, graphics, and action.     Cons: Wish game was longer.     The Bottom Line: Left 4 Dead is hands down the most fun I have had gaming this year.     Valve Software, the creators of the ground breaking and incredibly successful Half Life series have crafted one of the most addictive and enjoyable interactive experiences ever with their new release Left 4 Dead.     The game began development at Turtle …

About this video game

Set in a modern day survival-horror universe, the co-operative gameplay ofLeft 4 Dead(L4D) casts four "Survivors" in an epic struggle against hordes of swarming zombies and terrifying "Boss Infected" mutants. Developed by Turtle Rock Studios and Valve, creators of theCounter-StrikeandHalf-Lifegames, the latest AI technology allows for multiplayer games of one to eight players.

A new and highly virulent strain of the rabies virus emerges and spreads through the human population with frightening speed. The pandemic's victims become grotesquely disfigured widely violent psychopaths, attacking the uninfected on sight. As one of the "lucky" few apparently immune to the sickness, you, unfortunately, are also trapped in a city crawling with thousands of the bloodthirsty Infected. Alone, you're dead. But together with a handful of fellow survivors, you might just fight your way to safety.

Players can play as a Survivor or as one of four types of Boss Infected, each of whom possess a unique mutant ability, such as a 50-foot tongue lasso or a giant belly full of explosive methane gas. The gameplay ofL4Dis set across four massive campaigns. The zombie population of each mission is choreographed by an AI Director that monitors the human players' actions and creates a unique and dramatic experience for them on the fly.
