Great Wirelss Controller

We've had the regular wired controllers for our PS2 ever since it came out. However, a few weeks ago, my son was saving his progress to a game when he pulled the PS2 off the entertainment center shelf with a crash!

Somehow, the $40 game inside got a scratch right on the beginning of the disc. The guys at the gaming store were nice enough to replace it (they didn't have to!)

After that incident, we decided to invest in a wireless controller!

Ours works great, but feels a bit different than the regular controller. The top part feels heavier (the batteries) and the reaction time based on button depression seems slower. For fast sequences (such as O, X, Square, Triangle mini-games found in Sly Cooper I, Curious George, and Ice Age 2), I had to repeatedly depress some of the buttons to get the PS2 to respond. It would seem that a heavier hand is needed to work the wireless remote.

The guy at the gaming store told us that the Logitech was the "cadillac" of wireless remotes, and so far, we haven't had any troubles. My son and I enjoy being able to play using a wireless controller and I think it's a great tool if you find wires limiting or if you're fearful that the little ones are going to pull the PS2 off the shelf!
