What happened in the three hours of the game?
The first three hours depended on which side you wished to play on.
If you chose to play as the Decepticons, then you were searching for the rumored "Dark Energon" (an extremely powerful and dangerous form of energon). After obtaining the Dark Energon, Megatron orders Starscream to plant the dark energon into the energon bridge where it will power the machine making it possible to mas  produce Dark Energon. After The Dark Energon is planted Megatron moves onto destroying the Autobot Capital Iacon City (attempting to destroy planet Cybertron along with it).
Now if you chose the Autobots, your story begins after the Decepticons story ends. With a certain leader dead Optimus becomes the leader of the Autobots for the time being. Your first mission is to restore power to the communications grid and get the defensive guns working again. After some important story dialog passes you are taken to Kaon Prison where you must rescue a fallen comrade. After you escape the prison, Optimus speaks to the high council where he is deemed a Prime. Now you are Optimus Prime and must stop Megatron before he completely destroys the planet.

What was the most challenging part you completed?
Hard mode on this game is actually somewhat of a challenge. You take a lot more damage and are forced to take cover during fire fights. if you don't your health will just disappear. Defeating the bosses of this on hard, were definitely a challenge. being bosses means they hit hard to begin with. Adding your on hard mode means they hit harder, much harder. Each final boss was a challenge in it's own respect. Decepticons had it much easier though. The whole area is one big cover-zone, but they also had the highest demands for defeating the boss. Autobots had a much harder boss. With little to no cover and missles that would track you down this boss was a pain.

What was the best part of the story?
The story in general was a decent concept. Seeing how this game sets the scene for the 80s cartoon, it really "attempted" at fleshing out what happened on Cybertron, that made the Transformers go to earth. I say attempt because it wasn't the best effort at explaining. there were mistakes here and there but what story doesn't have a few mistakes?

Share the most innovative gameplay mechanic.
What would Transformers be without bad-ass transforming capabilities? Transforming really sets this apart from your average Third Person Shooters. At times you were forced to transform just to get out of a sticky situation. I found myself transforming on a regular basis and using my vehicle modes weaponry, because my pistols or other weapons were out of ammo. During missions you had to use your vehicle form to escape from drastic situations that appeared during the story.

What ice cream flavor best represents this game?
I don't think there is a flavor too describe the taste of pure unadulterated robot carnage. With explosions and bullets flying the game was just insane. It had my heart racing at times while I thought to myself "Am I going to survive this". Luckily I did and I enjoyed every bit of this game because of it.
This game is definitely not for everyone though. if your just looking for a solid Third Person Shooter, then just rent this game. Now if your a true transformers fan and are looking for a game to entertain you for a couple of days, buy this puppy now

Ever since the Transformers, in their various guises, first appeared in the USA, I've been a fan. I remember well watching the original cartoons, having a good collection of toys, watching "Beast Wars" and even trying my hand at Transformers fan fiction (no, not slash fiction! One must have standards). So I went into this game with certain expectations (ie: It'd be better than the Bayformers films). Happily those expectations were met!      The …

Pretty fun shooter....it is a first-person blast 'em to pieces video game that I am close to finishing. Features boss battles and the like; nothing inventive but can be a good diversion.

About this video game

Wiki

Transformers: War for Cybertron is a third person shooter that takes place prior to the Transformers: Prime animated series, when the Transformers still lived on the fictional machine planet Cybertron.[4] The game has two distinct campaigns, one for each faction. The story of the Decepticon campaign is a prelude to the Autobot campaign's story. Both campaigns can be played in single-player or cooperatively via online multiplayer, and can drop in or out of the game at any time.[5] Each campaign level features three playable Transformers. If fewer than three players are present, the game's AI controls the remaining playable characters.[5] Cooperative and competitive modes of the game are limited to online play, with no split screen features available.

Transformers: War for Cybertron is a third-person shooter video game developed by High Moon Studios and published by Activision. It was released on June 22, 2010 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. Two portable versions were released for the Nintendo DS. A game for the Wii called Transformers: Cybertron Adventures was developed by Next Level Games and utilizes the same characters and setting as War for Cybertron. Hasbro also has a toy line releasing in 2010 based on War for Cybertron. The multiplayer demo was released on June 10, 2010 for the Xbox 360 and allows players to experience either "Soldier" or "Scout" class warriors.
