Chose this over the PSP for the battery life. Haven't regretted it!

I bought this in July for my then 12-year-old son so that he would have something to do on a long roadtrip with his grandparents. I wasn't sure whether to get the DSi or the PSP and choose Nintendo because the battery life was longer. It's a choice I haven't regretted.

My son plays with this system all the time. It was well worth the money. The variety of games available for the system is top notch. It's nice that it can fit into my purse or his backpack when we're traveling.

We haven't been able to get the online portion of the system working yet but I have to admit that we only tried a few times and I suspect it involves my wireless internet at home.

A fun feature on the DSi is the camera. My kids have had hours of fun making slide shows and playing with the different photo features.

We've barely tapped in what this system can do and love it. I planning on buying another DSi in the future.

Quick Tip by . January 19, 2011
I just recently got a used DSi and like many other users, the left and right buttons stopped functioning properly. Luckily I found out about the registration incentive on Nintendo.com which extends the warranty an additional 3 months. I sent it in and getting the repairs for free! I always really liked Nintendo's customer service.

In 2004, Nintendo released the original Nintendo DS. Just two years later, the Nintendo DS Lite debuted and was better than the original by far. Since its original release, the Nintendo DS has gone on to sell more than 100 million units worldwide. With sales numbers like that, why would Nintendo need to release another revamp of their prized handheld? More than that, are the new features worth picking up if you have a DS Lite or if you still have an original DS? Well, it can be, but …

Nintendo DSi
I am a fan of the Nintendo DS. I never had a chance to own a Nintendo DS Lite but I always planned to upgrade when I had enough money saved for it. As soon as I was about to purchase a Lite; one of my friends told me about the new system that came out .. the Nintendo DSi.     The DSi is supposedly a tad bit smaller than the Lite, about 12%. The screens are a tad bit larger. There are two cameras on the new platform, one on the outer shell and on the hinge in the inside. The power …

The System
The Nintendo DSi is a high-powered handheld video game system in a sleek, folding design-loaded with features designed to create a unique gaming experience. Like the DS and DS Lite before it, the DSi features Nintendo's trademark stylus-driven touchscreen technology, but determined to make portable gaming simultaneously larger and smaller in all the right places, Nintendo has also created the DSi with significantly larger screens and an even slimmer body design than its earlier cousins. Other features include the ability to snap photos with built-in cameras, edit and send them to friends, play back your music with Nintendo DSi Sound, or browse the Internet with the Nintendo DSi Browser. From playing games to just playing around, the Nintendo DSi does it all.

The DSi's Two Digital Cameras
The most noticeable feature of the slim Nintendo DSi system are its two cameras - one camera is situated on the external body pointing away from the user, and the ...
