A Quick Tip by Madpenguin

Air Guitar is something I really hope doesn't become cancerous. Some people have the nerve to say that rap requires no talent because they don't play instruments, which is bullshit. It does take talent to put together a lot of those lyrics. But it takes no talent at all to stand in front of people pretending to play an instrument over the songs of actually talented bands. People actually pay for this shit?! Fuck Air Guitar, and fuck the people who love this shit too.  I hope their next concert suffers a 100% death rate to a horrible terrorist attack. True story, if you support Air Guitar then you have no respect for music, period. You are shittin' on real artist supporting these bums. These pathetic parasites mothers should have taken it on the face.

Seriously, these idiots have less talent than the panhandlers who come on the subways singing for change to get a fix.

I had no idea that this was an actual thing that people do outside of just messing around.

And they get money too.

This is possibly the greatest quick tip I've ever read. You are so, so right about this one. I remember first hearing about this a few years back and thought to myself "Really? There's actually a goddamn air guitar contest?" Sometimes I wonder if civilization is on the brink of collapse because of the fact that as you pointed out, people actually pay money to see shit like this.

It's unbelievable that these wastes of life are getting the money and recognition that real bands and lyricist can only hope for. You have all of these real talented acts out there in the real world bitin' and clawin' to get noticed. And you have these pieces of shits fake playing and jumping around like fools on a stage. And getting paid for it! Many things do not get on my nerves but this garbage just makes me furious. They probably can't even play a real instrument or even write lyrics; this is bullshit dude, and just looking at the fat fucker on stage grinds my gears something serious. How hilarious it would have been to witness some .50 cal shells rippin' his ass apart.

Oh fuckin' man... I just took another look at the video and just stopped.... I can't believe this.

I took a peak at that video, and goddamn, I felt like breaking some shit after I saw that. To bolster your point about the truly talented people out there who won't even get a fraction of the recognition and money this tubby shitdick is getting, here's a video of Nocturnus playing live in 1992, and Mike Davis (the one with the white shirt and yellow guitar) oozes with sheer talent, yet he doesn't have a microscopic fraction of the recognition that Dainoji is getting.

I was even more infuriated when I saw that one of these Air Guitar Championship videos had over a million views while there's plenty of videos with amazing guitarists that at best, have around ten thousand views.  And yeah, I would be laughing my ass off if a maniac with a .50 cal Desert Eagle blasted that talentless, fat manbaby away.

Exactly my point. And for those smart asses out there who dare try and defend this bullshit by pointing out rappers and pop stars who sample music are doing the same thing... uh, no, they are not doing the same thing. The rappers with pride are writing their own lyrics, and if not, they're paying ghost writers. Pop singers are paying ghost writers too and they're straining their voices for the right sound. This fat fuck and everyone like him is doing nothing of the sort. What happens if he "pops a string" or "drops his guitar"? What will he do should he lose his voice? If a rapper, pop star, country singer, lose their voice, it's over. These guys can just lip sync someone else's work, that's exactly what that man titty sucker is doing.

Dainoji with signature tiger sweater
Dainoji is back with a vengence in 2007, successfully defending his World Air Guitar Championship.  Wearing his signature tiger sweater, you get to see him live in all his glory in this video.  He starts out with 45 seconds of setting the stage by "tuning up" and checking with his "band mates".  This is a performance that requires not one, but two pairs of shades.    This year Dainoji treats us to some gyrating dance moves and ends the song with another nod to …
