Grooveshark is the best music streaming website.

Grooveshark is the best music streaming website around. Simple as that.

Grooveshark offers free (and always free) music streaming to anywhere in the world, unlike Pandora, which is limited to certain countries. With millions of songs available, its all too easy to find the song you're looking for.

A well laid out website makes using Grooveshark's features a dream. The "Popular" playlist shows you what's hot on Grooveshark at the moment, the Add To My Library function allows you to save songs for playback later, a current playlist function allows you to add stuff to the 'now playing' list, and the "download" function directs you to iTunes or Amazon for purchase. This means it's helping the music industry and supports artists.

With the ability to tweet, facebook or stumble the song you're playing, or a playlist, you can let your friends know what you're into right now.

Access to music streaming on Grooveshark is absolutely free, and Grooveshark VIP costs only $3 USD a month, which removes the banner ad and allows you access to Grooveshark Desktop. This is an application that means you dont have to mess around with bookmarks in your browser, and it doesn't have ads.

One thing i would say, though, is that the $3 a month is a subscription, not a one month credit to Grooveshark VIP but on a month-by-month bill to your credit card. That caught me out, but you can cancel it at any time.

All up, Grooveshark is an amazing website that allows you to stream songs for free, is user friendly, and has fantastic customer service. Five stars.

Great write-up, Luke! I'm a hardcore Pandora fan (check out my Pandora review if ya want!). But, I love music and I'm always up for trying new sites. Thanks for the intro to Grooveshark!

Well you at leas got me to look at their site, but they charge for their mobile site, which is horrid. Pandora doesn't. Grooveshark loses, and Pandora wins.

err rather you have to be VIP to use their android (and I think iphone) app

Very cool, Luke!  I currently use Pandora, mostly their app on my iPhone, but I'm always up for checking out new programs, so I'll check this out.  Thanks for sharing! :)
