I've heard of One Manga many times before but I never bother to go check it out.  My friends would always talk about it all the time and mention how they're all up to date with Naruto, Bleach, One Piece etc.  But for some reason, I just never bother to check it out.

Around last month, I finally decided to check out the site and see how it is.  As described by all my friends, its a huge collection of translated japanese mangas by fans.  They're usually out a few days after the japanese version gets released.  They're very spot on and the translation are pretty accurate except for a few mispelling here and there.  I'm currently following Claymore, Vinland Saga (kind of a let down so far) and Fairy Tail on it and I haven't had one bad translated chapter.

The best part about One Manga is that I don't have to buy or wait for one of my friends to tell me if a manga is worth purchasing or not.  I can just go straight to their site, browse around and read a few chapters and see if its for me.  If I enjoy it, I'll continue reading it til the latest chapter and purchase the manga when it comes out for the US in support of it.

The only bad thing I can think of about this site is that it doesn't have all of the japanese mangas.  I think any that are licensed by Darkhorse comic in the US aren't allowed to be posted on that site for some reason.  My favorite of all time, Berserk, is not listed on it so I have to download it from a fan site.

So in a nutshell, if you're a japanese manga fan and don't wanna wait or blow too much money to be up to date or even check out new mangas, then this site is definitely for you.  No registration required, just go to www.onemanga.com and browse away.  Its that simple.

thanks for this! I will check this out as soon as I get home. I'd love to check out stuff before I make a purchase, this beats reading a review.

Good source for mostly shonen manga, and a variety of others...oh One Manga, what would I do without you?

How I was first introduced to manga. Great website for "newbies" or lifelong fans of Japanese comics.
