Who came up with this idea? Was it the prisoner's pitching the idea to the warden?
"This is going to seem crazy at first but just go with with it."
Or perhaps it was the wardens new rehabilitation program.
"When my inmates make it back tot he real world they will have the skills to perform as zombie or even become dance extras."

In either case its a great performance, although come to think of it Michael should probably be in prison with them.

The first time I heard of this was when a friend told me to look it up. So I did, and I must say, at first glance I thought it was all a joke. But the "related videos" section quickly proved me wrong!    If you're in the mood for a cheap laugh, this video is for you. Talk about cruel and unusual punishment! Oddly enough, though, there are worse things you could force prison inmates to do. So I guess this offers them a change to accomplish something and get away from the mundane …

I remember seeing this video in the place I hang out at my college. About fifteen of us surrounded a laptop and watched this video like no other. I was SO confused and amazed about what I was watching. I wasn't sure if it was real or not. Prisoners choreographed in a dancing routine? There are others dances by the inmates besides Thriller, and they all seemed pretty perfect. I thought it was awesome how these inmates could all do something amazing like this. It even seemed like some really got into …
