This site is FANTASTIC for any and ALL digital photo needs!
D P Review is comprised of less than 10 staff members that review EVERY digital camera and lens known to man - even if it isn't slated to come out for months.
The reviews on this site are amazing and usually span 20-30 pages, from body and design specification to sample images shot on the camera. There is an easy drop-down menu to get you where you need to be. In addition to technical info, they also compare cameras to other cameras by other brands, which is great.
I really love looking at the photo tests they do! Here's one that compares different ISO settings.
If you are a professional, you will love D P Review because it goes into INSANE depth - I don't know half of the things they touch upon on the site and I know an intermediate amount of photo terms! Still, if you are a beginner, you will find information there for your level too - it really is a great site for all.
I used this site to choose both digital cameras I've purchased (the now-extinct Canon Digital Rebel and the Canon 400D XTi), and it also was extremely helpful when I had to pick a lens for the XTi. The reviewers will help you decide which lenses are worth the money (they can be pricey- so buy wisely!) and which fall short. They also are helpful in finding out which lenses can be transferred from a manual camera to your digital.
I actually had no idea that the site had been purchased by Amazon (in 2007) until I wrote this review...hopefully the site remains as unbiased as it always was!
