Yesterday flipping around the channels I hit upon White Christmas, that old chestnut starring Danny Kaye, Bing Crosby, Rosemary Clooney, Dean Jagger, and dancer Vera-Ellen. I first saw this movie as a child, long, long ago, and have never forgotten that final scene with the entire cast in red and white, singing the title song with snow floating down all around. Magical.
