Every so often, I like to plug the blogs I write for and contribute to. I guess I'm proud of my writing abilities and I do it because I feel like it's a high quality blog/online magazine, etc. I enjoy writing and expressing my views. In fact, Salon.com has several excellent writers as well as a diverse group of bloggers and contributors. They come from all walks of life, points of view, backgrounds, many are freelance writers and artists which make for very interesting reading. Online magazines and news sites are millions of people's source of information and entertainment. The International, The Huffington Post, The Nation, The Politico and Gawker are a few that come to mind.

Even newspapers are available in online editions. The Rocky Mountain News met its demise last February because of declining readership. Are newspapers going the way of the dodo bird? I don't know about you but I still like the old standby...the old-fashioned print newspaper.
