Here is a short novelty for all Lunch & Rumpages readers.
In my talks with Diplomatico Master Blender Tito Cordero for my website Rumpages.com Tito mentioned that he is developing new super premium rums. One of them will be a 1997 Diplomático Single Vintage rum!
They are also working in what they consider their master piece: Diplomático Selección del Embajador. This unique rum is produced using reserves of heavy rums distilled in copper pots. This combination makes this a rum with lots of flavours. This rum is aged up to 12 years in two stages of breeding. First it was aged in American oak barrels. Then it was finished in Pedro Ximenez sherry barrels made of European oak. This rum will be in the market somewhere in 2010. As soon as I taste it, you can read it here.
The entire interview With Tito will soon be on the Rumpages website.
