This is my test for a bar/bartender: how do you make your old fashioned. It doesn't have to be the entire fruit salad approach, but you better muddle the orange and the cherry or I'll just stick to the simple drinks at your bar. Forget the bitters? I'm not returning.

I am not that big a fan of American whiskey; however, the "Old Fashioned" is a great whiskey cocktail. "Articwolf's" recipe is great.

Here is my recipe for the Old Fashioined Cocktail      The Old Fashioned Cocktail 1 1/2 oz bourbon whiskey   1 tsp simple sugar   1 dash bitters   2 large ice cubes   1 Twist of lemon peel Add the first three ingredients to a rocks glass over the ice cubes   Rub the cut edge of the orange peel over the rim of the glass and twist it over the drink.
