Vodka GummiBears

3 Ratings: 3.7
a recipe for vodka-infused gummibears
Materials
8 oz Plain Gummy Bears
4 oz (roughly) Vanilla Vodka
1 large glass
Plastic Wrap

Process:
Put gummibears into a container (preferrably glass, as long exposure to alcohol could technically cause small chemical reation with plastic). Don't pack them in too hard and leave some room at the top for expansion during infusion.

Fill glass with vodka until level with gummibears.

Cover glass with saran-wrap and stick it in the 'fridge.

Leave it there for 4 days. Over the course of the waiting period, gummibears will expand and then reduce back down to their normal size. Around day 2 you will notice a slimey goo-like substance forming on the bears. Don't worry about it- it goes away by day 3 or 4.  By the end of day 4, the gummibears should be back to their original texture/size with no goo.

Eat your gummibears--  but not while driving!!!

Who can resist vodka gummis?

Vodka gummibears taste a whole lot like jelloshots. You can up the sweet taste by dropping a little vanilla extract in the batch. I've also separated the different flavored gummis and paired them with other liquors. (Try lime gummis with light rum for some yummy mojito action or orange gummis with grand marnier for a serious citrus attack.)

I highly recommend multiplying this recipe. Bring tons of vodka gummis to a party and you'll be the toast of the town. Yum!
