I've been wanting to try a Caipirinha since I first saw it on Three Sheets. The national drink of Brasil is a pretty basic cocktail. While it is basic, that doesn't mean that it's not a strong drink. I had one at a local bar, and while I was surprised they even had on the menu, I was even more surprised at how good it was. It was my last drink of the night and well worth the wait. Try to use vodka instead of cachaça. It tastes fresher and less bitter. Perfect for summer days!

Ingredients:

2 limes
2 tbsp sugar
2 ½ oz. cachaca
Ice

Preparation:

Cut up the limes in 8 individual wedges. Combine the limes in a cocktail shaker with the sugar and crush the limes using a large spoon. Mix in cachaca and ice and shake well. Pour into a glass and enjoy!
