I've been wanting to try a Caipirinha since I first saw it on Three Sheets. The national drink of Brasil is a pretty basic cocktail. While it is basic, that doesn't mean that it's not a strong drink. I had one at a local bar, and while I was surprised they even had on the menu, I was even more surprised at how good it was. It was my last drink of the night and well worth the wait. It's cool and refreshing drink but strong.

You can also substitute the cachaça, which can be found in most ABC stores, with Vodka.

The version I had was mixed with simple syrup instead of sugar but the drink was still good.

I highly recommend it if you don't know what to order, or make for people.

Oh yeah, this is a tasty one. Makes me look forward to summer. How do you think it compares to the mojito? I'd also love to see a recipe you like in the wiki section of this data point, as I actually don't know how to make this drink.

I prefer Caipiroska, cachaça is an instant hangover!

Try to use vodka instead of cachaça. It tastes fresher and less bitter. Perfect for summer days!
