posted a Quick Tip about Four Points by Sheraton, Taian. April 11, 2011

Four Points by Sheraton, Taian
Hotel is almost brand new, just under 6 months. Easy access to city and access to Mount Tai. Prices are reasonable (at RMB 520++, inclusive of taxes and breakfast) and breakfast is sumptuous. The latest addition to Taishan's many new hotels built in the last 2 years or so. However, some services are still not available, for example, the spa. Otherwise, whatever you can reasonably expect out of Four …

Sheraton Jinan Hotel
One of the newer and better Sheraton in China. The hotel was less than 2 year old and is reasonably priced. I paid only RMB498 for a night stay (including taxes) and the room is truly spacious. Internet is included in the price but not breakfast. The hotel's Shine Spa is great too. Guests get 20% off body massages. All I paid for a 90 mins. Swedish massage was a mere RMB304! (That's like US$46!)

Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit
Centrally located and hosted the best Thai restaurant (according to some magazine) as well as Spa and fitness center in the Sukhumvit area. I love the Grande Spa here although I stayed at Westin which is across the street (and has its own spa which I'd review later). This particular Sheraton is one of the Luxury Collections stable of hotels. It's not cheap but it's worth the price, according to most …

Westin Grande Sukhumvit Bangkok
A reasonably old hotel across from Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit which is more luxurious and has better choices of facilities. Westin has friendly staff but the hotel makes you pay for almost everything, ie. breakfast and internet access!

Four Points by Sheraton Bangkok, Sukhumvit 15
Since this is the first Four Points by Sheraton that I'm reviewing, I thought I'd give it a background check before I do so. It is not the first Four Points I've stayed nor is it the first Bangkok hotels I've stayed in. Neither is it the best Four Points by Sheraton hotels in the world! My best Four Points hotel experience was in Beijing. Nonetheless, this is the first Four Points …

Four Points by Sheraton Bangkok, Sukhumvit 15
A brand new hotel which I'm currently checking in for 3 nights. Great promotional rates for the opening. A mere 1900 thai baht (plus taxes of 17%) per night. Rooms are nice and spacious. Great and friendly staff. Some rooms for improvement with regard to toiletries. Housekeeping forgot to supply shampoo, conditioner and bath gel (or perhaps she thought I have that of my own so no need to replenish). …

Bed
I love beds! I could sleep in it, read on it, watch tv from it, talk on the phone for hours on it, do all kind of crazy things on it! One of the best place in the world as well as at home! By the way, the Starwood Hotels have great beds! If you're interested, you can even buy beds from Starwood!

Sheraton Waikiki
The Sheraton Waikiki in Oahu, HI was a fantastic hotel experience.  The hotel property had recently been updated prior to my stay.  With the addition of an infinity pool and restaurant area, this hotel is definitely one I will remember.  It is located in a great central location on the strip of Waikiki beach.  A block away from amazing shopping, from Hermes …

W Chicago - Lakeshore
Great hotel all around, from the lobby bar/restaurant, to the the view of Lake Michigan, to the reception/conference area on the upper floors. However, I wouldn't recommend buying a bottle of wine at the lobby bar and taking it back up to your room :)

W Chicago - Lakeshore
I was recently at a friends wedding in Chicago and the reception was held at the W Lakeshore. Those who have been here before know that this is a swanky, Asian design influenced hotel with incredible views of Lake Michigan. Far surpassing the W in City Center, the Lakeshore location has panoramic views of the city and lake from the top floor (also where the reception was held). This …

W Chicago - Lakeshore
Love this hotel, much better than the W on Adams. There is a buzz all around this place. Sheraton got it right with W's, have a sense of style and humor, be a chain, but make the hotel feel like a boutique hotel. The only downside, the rooms are all small, but not cramped. Location is almost perfect. This hotel has cool written all over it.

Amazing hotel in prime location on Lakeshore Drive. Asian influenced in decoration throughout the lobby and hotel rooms. Home to the Bliss spa. Fantastic bathrooms stocked with Bliss products. Highly recommended!

W Minneapolis
When my friend invited me to her wedding in downtown Minneapolis I decided to check into the W Minneapolis – The Foshay for the event.  In typical W style, the hotel is dark, sleek and sexy, with 229 style driven rooms.  Housed in The Foshay building, which was for many years the tallest building in the city, the W retains the essence of 1920’s art deco design.      …
